Pinhole photograpy does create a wonderfully soft image , loved by many photographers. In this MF design the film is held against a semicurcular guide thus providing even illumination over the entire 110 degree field.
An aperture of f 180 is employed, which offers an interesting compromise between "too soft" and "too sharp". The good news is that being a diy camera the builder can change the aperture
